For this project, we were tasked with the complete reconstruction of the 120 year old original wood balustrade of the wraparound porch for this stately home in the historic Prospect Park South neighborhood of Brooklyn NY. This involved making templates to match handrails to the curvature of the supporting columns and the meticulous lathe work recreating each of the 130 balusters. All the sections were fabricated, trimmed, assembled, and coated in our climate controlled workshop. Completed with a clean, two day white glove installation.

As the porch will be subject to constant exposure to the elements, the most durable, weather-resistant materials were selected. The wood species, stainless steel screws and coatings we’re chosen to ensure their longevity and continued beautiful appearance. All made in Brooklyn by a talented team with decades of experience. We love what we do!

This was a particularly satisfying project. We know that the owners of this home will enjoy relaxing on this porch for decades to come.
