My love for woodworking began when I was nine years old, and I’ve been lucky enough to get paid to be doing what I love ever since. I’ve learned from talented artisans, and worked in many roles, including as a contract carpenter for City College and for the Mayor’s Office at City Hall.
Our Process
Our process begins with a conversation. Bring us your ideas and your goals for your job, and we will work with you to design a customized entry door to meet the specific needs of your home.
We research archival images from the neighborhood to make sure our designs and constructions are period-accurate.
We use premium materials – wood, glass, hinges and locks – that are selected with security and efficiency in mind, and are designed to last for generations.
On installation day, we provide white-glove service to ensure the door fits and operates with the most precise tolerances.
John is an expert woodworker, and every project he has done for our 1903 Victorian— from a new front porch to a remodeled kitchen, updated bathroom, reproduction doors and new, intricately designed wood flooring—has been done to perfection. I trust him with our house.

Our Team
Keeping woodworking traditions alive is a huge priority for us. John learned woodworking by working as an apprentice to extremely talented craftsmen, and is keeping that tradition alive by mentoring Emma and Oliver, two highly skilled and motivated young people.
